At Jungle Run, our mission is to create world class content. With our vast network of partners, we can support any type of production, at any scale, assisting with creative development, permits, production, location management, crew, camera, sound, drones, DIT, remote expeditions, chartered aircraft, liveaboards and post-production — all managed by Indonesia’s best bilingual producers, coordinators and fixers.
In this photo, we’re on location for Darren Aronofsky‘s “Postcard From Earth“, the first film shot for the Sphere in Las Vegas. Think IMAX, times five, in resolution, complexity and novelty. Darren said it was “like flying a plane while building it”.
For this shoot, we pioneered helicopter access to Kawah Ijen volcano, flew and humped 3 tons of kit per day, built a data center/comms repeater on the rim of the caldera, supported 35 crew, rallied 200 porters and cast 150 on-camera sulfur miners.
According to the NASA support team for the same shoot, they had it easy compared to us!

When Ron Howard‘s Imagine Documentaries commissioned David Blaine: Do Not Attempt, King Cobras were at the top of the list. And our friend Fitz and the Debus people of West Java provided that and more, including nail eaters, body and tongue piercers and a young woman who puts snakes in her nose and pulls them out her mouth… The amazing David Blaine was in his element and Jungle Run made it real.

Easiest thing in the world right? Not necessarily, but our job is to help you make it so. For this Netflix Original the Jungle Run team, together with our colleagues from Beach House Pictures, director Rob Sixsmith and Producer Jessica Lee, went farther down the research rabbit hole than any of us thought possible.

Now things get really interesting. Over the past 30 years Jungle Run has been involved in a broad range of productions and we’re taking that experience to the next level.
