With our vast network of partners across the Indonesian archipelago we can support any type of production at any scale and assist with creative development, permits, production, location management, crew, camera, sound, drones, chartered aircraft, liveaboards and post-production, all managed by Indonesia’s best bilingual producers, coordinators and fixers.
In this image, we’re on location with Darren Aronofsky‘s epic film “Postcard From Earth” for the Sphere in Las Vegas where Jungle Run brought 70 people and 3 tons of equipment to the top of Kawa Ijen Volcano in East Java, Indonesia.
In addition to Jungle Run’s team of 35 people and 35 crew from MSG Entertainment, we hired over 350 locals for this shoot including 150 sulfur miners and 200 porters and ran over 30 helicopter sorties every day. This was also the first time helicopters had landed on Kawa Ijen…
Locations and Access
In a complex country like Indonesia, access is everything. Whether it’s places or people, we’ve got you covered. Our team has gained access to some of the most challenging locations in Indonesia, from the inner sanctums of Jakarta to the remote jungles of Borneo. And access isn’t just about locations, it’s also about making sure there are no surprises once you get there. Contact us, check out our filmography and let’s make movies together.
When Ron Howard‘s Imagine Documentaries commissioned David Blaine: Do Not Attempt, King Cobra’s were at the top of the list. And our friend Fitz and the Debus people of West Java provided that and more, including nail eaters, body and tongue piercers and a young woman who puts snakes in her nose and pulls them out her mouth… The amazing David Blaine was in his element and Jungle Run made it real .
Film Permits
Easiest thing in the world right? Not necessarily but our job is to help you make it so. We’ve navigated permits for projects from factual to scripted and built excellent relationships in the government and around the country in the process. No matter what your story, or where you want to shoot it, we will give you solid advice and help you get your production rolling. Contact us.

We will be there for you every step of the way, whatever the challenge, we’ll meet it head on and find a solution so your production can succeed. Check out our filmography and contact us.

Deep Research
You can only do so much research from the US, or the UK, or even from Singapore. Our expert research team gets under the belly of this country and directly to the people and places where you want to be, uncovering elusive stories, hidden cultural gems, digging deep into Indonesia so you can make that Emmy award winning film. Check out our filmography and contact us.
One of the most popular documentary films in Indonesia was Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee, and Jessica Wongo. For this Netflix Original the Jungle Run team, together with our colleagues from Beach House Pictures, director Rob Sixsmith and Producer Jessica Lee went farther down the research rabbit hole than any of us thought possible…
Co-Productions
Now things get really interesting. Over the past 30 years Jungle Run has been involved in a broad range of productions and we’re taking that experience to the next level.
